“Dear Pops,
“I was very happy to have gotten the card that you sent to me. Thank you for that. I have just been to the assessment part of this process. I now have to be classified to determine which half-way house I will be sent to. I should be here for two more months then I will be moving on. I am going to Bible studies almost every day of the week. I go to NA/AA during the weekdays, these studies and programs are not mandatory. The temptation in this place is very real to me and I face it very often, however, through God’s grace I am living a sober Christ filled lifestyle. I wake up every morning thanking God for the Joy that I have because I’m getting my life back.
“There were many Thursday nights that I sat in that room and was told what I needed to hear and not what I wanted to hear. I thank you for the time and I want to continue to hear from you and keep in touch. I want positive people in my life to help build me up and you are one of them. Till next time please pray for me.
